Gary R. Roberson of Rossville, IN, born in Flora, IN July 19, 1940 passed away at his home February 6, 2026. Gary was the son of Raymon Roberson and Esther Pullen Roberson. Gary married Karen Hoffman on April 7, 1963.
He graduated from Camden High School in 1958 and earned a Senior Accounting Certification from Indiana Business College. Gary had a distinguished career in accounting and management. He worked for Crum Construction and Associates in Michigantown as Accounting Manager for 10 years. He owned the Davis Fence Company in Michigantown. He was a salesman for Jasper Engines and Transmission. Gary had his own CDL testing and training business in Kokomo, IN. He worked until retirement in 2007 for Mayflower Transit and United Van Lines in Fenton, MO as a Manager of Driver Resources and General Freight Broker. He was the charter President of Michigantown Lions Club. A past member of Indiana Society of Public Accountants. He was a former member of Rossville Lions Club and a member of Rossville Bible Fellowship. Gary enjoyed being an active member of a coffee shop conversation group in each community he lived. He also enjoyed his woodworking shop, country music, and attending the Indianapolis 500 races.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Karen Roberson; their son, Brad Roberson and his wife Lora; two grandchildren, Travis Roberson and Amanda Roberson; his sister-in-law, Ruby Roberson of Lafayette; and his brother, Charles Roberson of Morgantown, NC.
Gary was preceded in death by both his parents and brother Timothy Roberson.
Visitation will be held Thursday February 12, 2026 at 12pm until the time of the service at 2pm at Day and Genda Funeral Home-Bodine Chapel, with Pastor Chris Albin officiating. Burial will follow at Musselman Cemetery in Camden. Memorial contributions in Gary's honor can be made to the Rossville Lion's Club. Messages of condolence can be left at dayandgenda. com.
