Jose Uribe

1952 - 2016

Jose Uribe, 63, of Fort Lupton, passed away Feb. 4 at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1952 in Durango, Mexico, to Felix Uribe and Maria de Jesus Morales. He attended schools in Mexico and married Juanita Moreno July 1, 1975 in Brighton.
Jose lived in Fort Lupton for the majority of his life and worked for Kitayama Brothers Greenhouse for more than 30 years. His priority in life was his family, and he was always a hard-working husband and father. He was humble, simple, extremely intelligent and a profound conversationalist and loved his Bud Light.
Jose is survived by his wife, of Fort Lupton; two children, Eva (Alex) de la Cruz, of Fort Lupton, and Jose (Merissa) Uribe, of Brighton; three brothers, Chico Uribe and Simon Uribe, of Mexico, and Juan Uribe, of Chicago; three sisters, Alicia Uribe, of Mexico, Belen Cardenaz, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Emilia Uribe of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Maria and Rosita.
Visitation was Feb. 9 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, which handled the arrangements. The funeral is at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, at The Healing Place, 17801 E. 160th Ave., Brighton. Interment follows at Fairview Cemetery.
