Brandon Higdon Obituary

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Brandon Higdon, 23, Rainbow City, who died Saturday, June 11, 2011. Pastor Shane Bearden will officiate. Burial will be in Altoona Walnut Grove Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.
Brandon graduated from Etowah High School in 2006 and most recently had been working with Randy Rhodes Construction. Brandon loved spending his time outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a loving father and loved holding his beautiful baby boy, Brantley. He was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed cheering on the Crimson Tide. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gary Bailey and James Roland "Sambo" Higdon; and by his great-uncle, Jack Brothers.
Survivors include father, Tommy Edward Higdon; mother, Melissa Bailey Higdon; son, Brantley Higdon; loving companion, Shae Bowen; grandmothers, Mary (Claude) Croft and JoAnn Bailey; uncles, Shane Bailey, Jason Bailey, Jerry (Tammy) Higdon, Craig Higdon; aunt, Jennifer Bailey; great-aunt, Linda Brothers; and a host of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Coley, Cameron Boyd, Tony Yates, Justin Harp, Brandon Holmes and Chris Jones.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Attalla Elementary School, Randy Rhodes and to all their loving family and friends for their love and support.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
