Margaret... I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. I spent about 11 months with Dave in Phouc Vinh, Vietnam. He was the person I was closest to and the person I learned the most from during that time. his laughter and some of his expressions I can still hear... "Shoot!!"...
Peace...

I only knew Mr. Atkins for about 3 months, but that was long enough for me to know a few very important things about him. He had a heart of gold, was a very humble man, and very dedicated to both, whatever he was doing and anyone he had under his charge. He retired again from SUI Friday, as he was getting ready to clock out and go back home from the office, he called me to tell me goodbye, and kinda struck me odd, but before he hung up the phone, he told me "just don't ever forget me". Then he passed on Sunday, David, ive only known you for a short time, but believe me buddy, I'll never forget you. It takes a special kind of person to touch someone for a lifetime within 3 months. Rest in peace my good friend.

Margaret & family, my heart goes out to you all, for I know what a great husband and father and grandfather David was to all of you. It has been awhile since I have seen any of you but that did not matter for I have always known if I knock on your door it would have been open. You all have been there for me in the past and I really did appreciate David and his family.
So very sorry, may God put his hand on your shoulders and backs and let you know all is well. My prayers are with you.
