Dayton Watts Obituary

Dayton Ashley Watts, 29, was born July 4, 1984, in Gadsden, Ala.
We called him Dash. Although he is not defined by his partnership with his Dad in their construction company, he was devoted to his profession and was recognized in his field with utmost acclaim. His journey called life IS defined by his love, service, and surrendered heart to his Savior Jesus Christ. Before a breath was breathed He knew the end from the beginning. And his journey here ended January 11, 2014.
Dash was a son, brother, grandson. He was an uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a blessing, he was special and he was ours. Most of all, he IS a child of God! God made Himself known to Dash through trials and triumphs. His faith was built and made stronger by God's design; and He is using his life as a testament to reach others.
Dash gave his heart to Jesus years ago; on September 6, 2011, he re-dedicated his life back to his Savior. His eternal life began the day he invited Christ into his heart. Saturday he had an appointment with God, and on this day, as an heir to the Kingdom of Heaven, he went home.
Jesus said, "I have engraved you on the palms of my hands, your walls are ever before me." Isaiah 49:16
It is also written, "This God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our Guide even to the end." Psalm 48:14
Dash was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Watts & Bill Cloud.
He is survived by his grandparents, Dot Watts, Nancy & John Bell (TN), Curtis Walton (TN), Helen Cloud; parents, Jimmy Watts, Tim & Amy Cloud; sisters, Summer Watts, Kathy Cloud (GA), Karen Rodenroth (Blake) (GA); brother, Jay Watts (Kristen); nephew, Campbell Watts, & niece, Colby Watts, all from GA; and a very special little cousin, Saylor Walton.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, his uncles & aunts, Tim Walton (Mari) (Japan), Bart Watts (Susan), Brett Watts (Florence), Tom Cloud (Polly), Elizabeth Wheeler (Johnny); and a host of amazing friends and cousins who have reached out in scores to remember him through calls, texts, social media and visits. The message of how loved, adored and endearing he was to them blankets us in song and celebration of his life. And, yes, he was so full of life, keen and witty ~ and charming and handsome ~ so Heaven is richer today with our beloved and profoundly missed son.
Quoted from his sister, Summer; "It seems Dash is everywhere…yet not here. I wish I had a glimpse of what Dash is getting to experience right now because I cannot even begin to imagine how wonderful Heaven must be. Love you so much Bubba."
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be David Cosby, Keith Loggins, Jeff Rhodes, Jonathan Bone, William Bone, Evan Bone, John Inzer, Raj Shah, Matt Dawson, Tripp Holliday, Ellen Bridges & his Gadsden High School Class of 2003.
Visitation will held at Collier-Butler Wednesday at noon and service at 2 p.m. followed by graveside at Crestwood Cemetery. Pastor Randy Gunter officiating.
Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they flatter, they spread sunshine; they are food and medicine for the soul. (L.Burbank)
