Deborah Bearden Archer

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Village Chapel for Deborah Bearden Archer, 62, of Gadsden, who died Wednesday, May 16, 2018. The Revs. Sammy O'Dell and Gary Williams will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Deborah worked at Exchange Bank for many years. She started as a teller and eventually worked her way up to become vice president. She then went and supervised all administration at Gadsden Healthcare. She studied business in trade school and eventually graduated from banking school. Deborah was an avid Alabama fan. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Ray Bearden; son, Todd Nelson and fur baby, Gabby.
Deborah is survived by her mother, Jean Bearden; sister, Sue (Randy) Suggs; nephews, Ronnie Guffey and Chris (Brittany) Suggs; niece, Randi (John) Williamson; great nephews, Cameron Suggs, Aiden Harp and Mason Williamson; great niece, Stephanie Guffey; soon-to-be great niece, Olivia Grace Suggs; great-great nieces and nephews, Mikayla, Jaxon, and Jaron; aunts and uncles, Mary (Ormand) Elliott, Curtis (Janice) O'Dell, Mike (Connie) O'Dell, Gerald O'Dell, Pete (Martha) O'Dell, special cousin, Polly (Keith) Davis; special friend, Benny Archer and several cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or to your local Humane Society.
The family would like to thank special friend, Lori, for all the kindness she has shown to Deborah through the years and also to Southern Care Hospice, especially Amanda and Candace.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of the service on Sunday.
