Eilun Perry Obituary

Mrs. Eilun Estes Perry, 83, Centre, passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens. Perry Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Perry was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Calvin and Tevis Eubanks Estes. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama, a retired accountant and was a member of the Centre First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Brenda) Perry, Knoxville, Tenn., and Dr. Brian (Cindy) Perry, Centre; one sister, Ruth Moran, Centre; four grandchildren, Jason (Mary Carol) Perry, Atlanta, Ga., Austin (Holly) Perry, Clayton, Leslie Perry and Alan Perry, Centre; one great-grandson, Robert Walker Perry; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Lowell Hamilton, Wallace Lyons, James Burkhart, Phil Monteith, Tim Griffith and Gary Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the William J. Kennedy Sunday School class.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Centre First United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Unit at Cherokee Health & Rehab.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday.
