Glenda Fickle Obituary
Glenda attended City Church of Rainbow City, Ala. She enjoyed cooking, camping and being outdoors while spending time with her family. Glenda had a great love for her family, and she cherished her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Ogal Baker; and brother, Don Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Bobbie Joe Fickle; children, Debbie (Nathan Barnwell) Fickle, Tammy (Bob) George, Ami (Rickey) Hardy; grandchildren, Derek (Callie Minyard) George, Ryan George, Breanna Fickle, Jacob Hardy, Rickey (Sarah) Hardy; great-grandchild, Sariyah Hardy; mother, Dorothy Baker; brothers, Terry (Kate) Baker, David (Judy) Baker; sister-in-law, Phyllis Baker; chosen sister, Teresa Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Derek George, Ryan George, Jacob Hardy, Bob George, Rickey Hardy and Nathan Barnwell.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Jed Kaplan and his office staff, Dr. S. Sancheti, the physicians and staff at Clinical Urology Associates, Dr. Davenport, the thoughtful and caring staff of the 7th floor of Gadsden Regional Medical Center, Angela Walker, CRNP, Glenda's church family for all of their inspiration and support, Jessie "Brownie" and Teresa Brown, Ron and Marion Dearman of Weatherford, Texas, and all of the special friends and loving neighbors that have shared the family's joys and sorrows.

I am so sorry to hear of Glenda's passing. I have a lot of memories as a child with you guys & your Mom and Rainbow City, Druid Park, & Brownies, Girl Scouts. Your Mom was so sweet and always smiling & funny. Know that you are ALL in my thoughts & prayers. Nothing can replace a "MOM". I miss mine Everyday! What a wonderful education they teach us all!

I knew Glenda for many years from working at the hospital she always had a sweet smile and a warm heart she was a very hard worker she talked of her family and how much she loved them, she may be gone from your life but will forever remain in your heart. Prayers for everyone in this difficult time.

What a celebration in Heaven and on Earth. A beautiful Woman - Wife - Mother - Friend is with the Father. Family and friends left behind will miss this Lady until they meet her again. Glenda was like a sister to me. I loved sharing memories of the kids growing up. Happy to have seen her last year. She will be truly missed. Girls you had a wonderful mother who loved you very much. Bobbie you had an awesome wife that was your soul mate. Cherish all the memories and know she is smiling down on us.

Glenda was a sweet lady. I didn't get to see her often, but she always made me feel a part of the family. She had a lot of love in her heart. We're all sad now. But she's with the Lord, and what could be better than that!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Glenda will truly be missed. It was such a pleasure working with her, she always made a bad day a fun day. There wasn't anything she couldn't do (cooking, decorating and just being a really great friend). God Bless this family!

Praying for peace and comfort for all of you as you lay your sweet mother to rest. She was a wonderful person and I'm so glad I was able to know her in this life. Don't grieve to greatly that she is gone, but be very thankful she lived. We know she is now whole again in her eternal home and we will see her again someday.
