Harry Mayne Obituary

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Village Chapel for Harry Lucious "Red" Mayne, Jr., 78, of Gadsden, who passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. Pastor Keith Frix will officiate. Village Chapel Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mayne attended Glencoe High School. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. "Red" retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. with 33 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Lucious Mayne Sr. (Willie), son, Donald Mayne; and grandson, Scott Mayne.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Totsey Marie Mayne; sons, Stephen (Patty) and Phillip (Teresa) Mayne; grandchildren, Stephanie (Heath) Quinn, Randall and Elizabeth Mayne, Lashawn, Cody and Andy (Heather) Walker; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Quinn, Sydney, Ayden, C.J. and Andrew Walker; sister, Phyllis Luhrs; mother-in-law, Mary Drue Sanders; brothers-in-law, Glenn (Glenda), Larry (Linda) and David Sanders; a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Missy.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Special thanks goes to Dr. Shah, Dr. Jaiswal, the staff of Riverview CCU and ER, Physcians Choice Dialysis and best friend, Charlie Keener.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 this evening.
