James Abernathy Obituary
Apison, TN - Funeral services will be 2 pm today, at Crestwood Mausoleum, Gadsden Alabama, for Mr. James Thomas "Tom" Abernathy age 84 of Apison, Tennessee formerly Gadsden, who died Saturday, April 17, 2021. Reverend David Hayes will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home in charge of services.
He is survived by wife of almost 60 years, Patricia "Pat" Abernathy, sons James T. "Tom" Abernathy ,George "Keith" Abernathy, granddaughters Sydney and Lindsay Abernathy ,and sister Joyce Stephens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 1 pm until the time of service.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I worked for Tom at SCT in Chattanooga Tenn. He was a great boss . I also worked with Keith at SI Shaw Industries Chickamaug Ga. Sorry for your loss. Keith I will never forget the trip your dad and I made from Charlotte NC weather was bad and we could not board company plane, so I had to drive us back to Chattanooga. Half way through our trip your dad asked whose idea this was. I had to remind him it was his and he started to laugh.
