Jerry Howell Obituary
He was a 1966 graduate of Hokes Bluff High School. He was retired from Lockheed Martin Aircraft where he worked for over 30 years. He was a home builder for 35 years.
He was a Deacon at Gospel Temple Church. He was also a avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Finis A. and Fay Howell.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Cole Howell; sons; Jeremy (Cindy) Howell and Josh (Melissa) Howell; grandchildren, Maggen Cranford, Paige Hilburn, Falyon Howell and Faith Howell, great-grandchildren, Ansley Cranford and Brailey Hilburn; sisters, Peggy Bryant and Pam (David) Clough; brother, Phillip (Theresa) Howell; several nieces and nephews; numerous brothers- and sisters-in law; and loving pets Elmo and Lily.
Pallbearers will be Danny Beaird, Danny Winkles, Adam Washburn, Shane Whitehead, Brent Jones and Scott O'Dell.
Special thanks to UAB Hospital 6th South nurses and staff, Dr. Allison Vann, Advantage Ambulance Service, Alacare Home Health, nurse Cary Kilgore, Davita Dialysis and special friend Andy Crowe.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
2nd Timothy 4: 7-8: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.
