John McCain Obituary

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Mr. John Henry McCain Sr., 80, Attalla. The Rev. Bill Smith and the Rev. Kenny Windsor will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel and Crematory directing.
Mr. McCain was born June 12, 1931, to the parents of C.W. and Clara McCain. He graduated in 1950 from Etowah High School and joined the Army. He was honorably discharged Sept. 25, 1952. He was a member of the Army National Guard for seven years. He drove a truck for over 42 years, in which most of that time was spent with National Cabinet Company. He was a longtime member of Harmony Church of God. His hobbies were fishing, knife collecting and whittling. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Clara Bell McCain; son, Bobby Wade McCain; chosen daughter, Mary Jane Walton; brother, Bill McCain; and brother-in-law, Charles Tinsley.
Survivors include wife, Jo Ann McCain; chosen daughter, Debby Kellet; sons, John H. McCain Jr. (Faye), Talmadge "Bobo" McCain; sister, Jean Tinsley; brother, Charles McCain (Shirley); best friend, Wendall Barton; grandchildren, Jason McCain (Brandi), Amy Windsor (Kenny), Denise Spivey (George), Lonnie Moore (Veronica); great-grandchildren, Brittany Spivey, Presley McCain, Kaylee Windsor, Ruthie Windsor, Chloe Windsor, Luke Windsor, Lonnie Moore Jr.
Pallbearers will be Tim Fortenberry, Ron Tillery, Randy Terrance, Ronnie Tinsley, David Bailey, Zack Bailey and Lonnie Moore.
Mr. McCain will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8.

I had no idea that Johnny had passed. Joanne, BoBo, Amy and family are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss. Johnny will be greatly missed by alot of people.
