Katherine Headrick Obituary

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Katherine Headrick, 83, of Glencoe, who died Monday, Oct. 20, 2014. The Rev. Keith Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Headrick was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Glencoe, a member of Betty Swinford Sunday School class and retired form H&R Block with numerous years of service. She was an avid member of Woman to Woman Breast Cancer support group, having been a 25-year breast cancer survivor herself.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Headrick; parents, W.E. and Marie Braden; grandson, Clatis Joe Headrick; and daughter-in-law, Linda Gibbs.
Survived by sons, Kelly (Randee) Gibbs, Alan (Kim) Gibbs; daughter, Marissa Gibbs; stepchildren, Carol (Larry) Cobb, Barbara (Richard) Bolin, Sandra (Eddie) Tucker, Mark (Ruth) Headrick; grandchildren, David (Jaclyn) Gibbs, Nathan (fiancée, Ashley Hitt) Gibbs, Amber Read, Chad (Tricia) Gibbs, Ashleigh (Beau) Ashley, Linsey (Bruce) Walsh, Natalie (Kevin) Humphrey, Emily (Brandon) Hall, Thomas Tucker, Mark (Leah) Bolin, Rebecca Vinson, Alan Cobb; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Lillian Owens; brothers, Joe (Jean) Braden and John Earl (Joanne) Braden.
Special thanks to Dr. Jason Ayers, the staff of Coosa Valley Health Care, Mountain Cove Assisted Living and Amedisys Hospice.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
