It saddens me to hear of cousin Marlin's passing. He came to my father Delmus' funeral last October. He was a great human being and will be missed by everyone. I'm sure he's with my grandmother, Alma Brackett Hill.

Dear Family,
Remona and I send our heart felt condolences to all of you during your time of loss. We pray that your many fond memories and your strong faith will help to sustain you and encourage you during this
time, along with knowing that you will see him again! M.L. was a "legend" in Gadsden/Etowah County..I knew of him from an early age, through my father, Jack Roberson, and my Uncle, Bill Humphries, who were at EHS with him. He was also a "legend" in AU circles too because of his contributions and achievements there.
I first met him when he umpired youth league baseball games and then high school football games..he was always positive and encouraging. I also knew of him , as we both worked at Republic Steel Corp. in the late 70's and he was very respected there too because of his work ethic, integrity, and how he treated others! He was deeply devoted and had his priorities in order:faith, family, friends, football. He has run his race, he has fought the good fight and now he is receiving his crown in heaven!
Love,
Vance & Remona Roberson
