Michael Hatmaker Obituary

Memorial services for Michael Shane Hatmaker, 43, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Kyuka Baptist Church, 2145 Horton Gap Road, Attalla.
Shane died Wednesday, July 25, 2012. He was born Aug. 26, 1968, in Rockledge.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Robbie Hatmaker, Attalla; daughters, Kristina Hatmaker and Rachel Hatmaker, Milton, Fla.; and son, Steven Hunter Hatmaker, Attalla.
Shane lived most of his teenage life in Clermont, Fla., where he graduated in 1986 from Clermont High School. He entered the Army that summer. Germany was his destination base, and he worked as a clerk in the motor pool. In 1988, he returned to the States to Tallahassee, Fla. He married Deborah Sandridge there in 1989. Their children are Kristina Michele and Rachel Nicole.
In 2001, Shane married Alicia Pruett. Their son is Steven Hunter Hatmaker, who attends Duck Springs Elementary School.
Shane worked at Burger King in Florida for eight years before moving to Attalla, where he was an employee at Honda Manufacturing for the past seven years.
Shane went into the loving arms of God on July 25, 2012.
He was a loving son and father. He will be missed on this Earth.

My condolences go out to the family. I met Shane once at Rainbow City. He was smiling and laughing that day, and I thought how much he reminded me of his father.
