Oakley Patterson Obituary
Mr. Oakley passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Gadsden Healthcare.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lankford Patterson; sons, Oakley (Dana) Patterson, Anthony (Kathe) Patterson, Sidney (Stephany) Patterson, and Jason (Connie) Patterson; daughter, Claudia (Robert) Tucker; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Willie Patterson and Gary Patterson; and sisters, Mable (Earl) Walker and Martha Patterson.
Mr. Oakley was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Willie Mae Thrasher Patterson.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends from noon until time of service at Collier-Butler.
The family requests no flowers.
Special thank you to Gadsden Healthcare, especially the Third Hall.

My name is William (Bill) S. Daugherty. I was just thinking about Oakley a couple of days ago. He, Robert Buckner and I were tumbling mates in high school and formed a three man acrobatic team under Coach Burton and performed around Etowah County and other venues in the State of Alabama for a couple of years. I am sorry to hear of his passing and wish I had been able to meet up with him last year when I was in Gadsden. He was a fine boy when I knew him. Best Wishes to all his family and love ones. Wm. S. remember Oakley as director of the e.gadsden comm. center..also never forget those 3 dollar meals on hoke street in that little hot café with 7 stools to sat on...and the burgers were to die for !!! thx for all Oakley.
