Robert Langdale Obituary
Mr. Langdale was a graduate of Hokes Bluff High School Class of 1959 and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 34 years of service. He attended Hokes Bluff First United Methodist Church. He coached baseball for 35 years, was an avid hunter, baseball fan, loved birds, loved traveling to the mountains and was passionate about and loved Auburn football. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Langdale; father-in-law, William Odus Fowler; and his mother-in-law, Hester Faulkner Fowler.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fowler Langdale; sons, Tim (Laura) Langdale and Chad (Kristin) Langdale; grandsons, Justin, Keaton, Kyle, Mason, Gabe and Carson; granddaughter, Calie; mother, Lorene Allsup Langdale; brother, Terry (Linda) Langdale; sister, Joan (Alan) Sims; sister-in-law, Louise Fowler Thornton; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Doc Griffith, Vann Faulkner, Larry Floyd, Steve Shields, Justin Langdale, Keaton Langdale, Kyle Langdale and Mike Barber.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Thomas R. Corley, Dr. Bruce Head and the Breakfast Club at Beans and Greens.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the fourth-floor SICU at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends tonight from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
