Sarah Emery Obituary

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Collinsville Funeral Home-Sharpe Chapel for Sarah Jo Lankford Emery, who passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Sarah Jo was a lifelong resident of Keener, Ala., and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Raymond A. Emery; parents, William and Allie Lankford; brothers, Lewis M. and William H. "Jack" Lankford; sister, Mary Ozment; and a special son-in-law, Carl "Dwight" Matthews.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra "Sandy" Matthews; granddaughter, Lorrie and Martin Parker; grandson, Carl Matthews; great-grandchildren, Ali Parker, Trevor Matthews, Caleb Matthews, Arista Metcalf and Devan Parker; sister, Lorene Renfroe.
Pallbearers will be Harry Wallace, Larry Simpson, Lewis "Bill" Lankford, Danny Lankford, Curtis Renfroe and Roger Renfroe.
Special thanks to Dr. Debora Reiland, the staff of The Meadows of Rainbow City and many thanks to the staff of McGuffey Healthcare and Rehab for the wonderful and loving care provided to her during her recent illness.
