Gaffney, SC - Frederick Benjamin "Benny" Moore, 67, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Billie B. and Jean Sanders Moore. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Spartanburg Technical College, former chaplain at Elks Lodge and was an avid NASCAR fan, especially David Pearson and Dale Jarrett. Benny was a hard worker and loved his work. He was retired after thirty-eight plus years of service as a school maintenance worker from Cherokee County School District. He loved racing and hanging out with his neighbors that became lifelong friends. Benny was well known for his laughter, good spirits, and funny stories. His family will remember him as an honest, loyal, and loving Daddy. He was very mechanical, enjoyed riding tractors and working on heavy machinery. Mr. Moore was a member of State Line Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Frederick Benjamin "Ben" Moore II and his wife, Lauren of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Bennett Moore and Charley Moore; a brother, Tim Moore (Margaret) and a sister, Sally Moore Wood.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 10:45AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at State Line Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00AM at the church with Mrs. Michelle Ford officiating. Interment will be in State Line Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes.
