Gaffney, SC - - Brenda Gayle Humphries McCraw, 82, of 1359 Oak Ridge Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late William James Burton Humphries and Annie Pearl Skinner Humphries. She retired from Duke Power and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and family, riding horses, animals and watching birds.
Surviving is a son, "Lizard" McCraw (Kathy) of Gaffney; a daughter, Sonya M. Moss (Robert) of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Brittany Moss Leazer (Michael), Tyler Moss and Josh McCraw (Stephanie); two step-grandchildren, J.J. Robertson (Tonya) and Michele Broome (Jeremy); great-grandchildren, Riley Anne Leazer, Nolen Leazer, Rowan Leaser, Dara Broome, Andrew Mason, Zac Robertson, Hudson Broome, Dawson Broome and Mackenzy Broome; two great-great grandchildren, Sevyn Broome and Sway Broome; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, William "Mutt" Humphries, Walter Humphries, Melvin Humphries, Maynard Humphries and Alvis Humphries, two sisters, Sue Cobb and Ann King, and a great-granddaughter, Macy Broome.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Church with Reverend Joel Phillips, Mr. "Lizard" McCraw and Reverend Larry Melton officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Robert & Sonya Moss, 16 Hampton Court, Gaffney, SC 29341.
