Gaffney, SC - Sarah Bryan Patrick Parker, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Claude Bryan Patrick and Sarah Frances McCook Patrick. She was retired from Spartanburg Post Office, enjoyed bird watching, animals, nature, traveling, and loved everyone, especially her friends and family. Mrs. Parker was a member of First Baptist Church Gaffney.
Surviving is a son, Leland Parker of the home; a daughter, Susan Kirby and a grandson, Brandon Lee Kirby, a great granddaughter, Adalynn Kirby all of Gaffney; a brother, Clifford Patrick (Martha) of Spartanburg; a sister, Genny Mabry of Gaffney; a special companion, Charles Rippy; Kathy Martin of Blacksburg; a sister-in-law, Claire Patrick of GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Patrick.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kevin Hampton officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at their respective homes.
