Charles Moss Obituary
Gaffney, SC - Charles Michael "Bam" Moss, 75, of 126 Emerald Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney and raised in Blacksburg, he was the husband of the late Myrtle Bonner Moss and son of the late J. C. Moss and Rosa Webb Moss. He was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. He retired as an owner/operator of a car dealership and retired from management in the amusement business. He loved, his family, all sports, was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and golfer, and a member of Buford Street United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a son, Michael Christopher Moss (Yvonne) of Blacksburg; a daughter, Melissa Moss Bishop (Nicholas) of Blacksburg; ten grandchildren, Christopher Arron Moss, Melody Taylor Moss Spencer (Alec), Brooke Michelle Smith (Eli), Allison LeeAnn Haney, Jamie Nicole Wright, Emmalee Rose Whiteside, Greyson Parker Bishop, Mizella Reighn Bishop, Charles Patrick Bishop and Brayden Lee Bishop; three great-grandchildren, Saylor, Sawyer and Sable; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Hayden Bishop and two brothers, Gary Moss and Larry Webb.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:30PM in Clingman Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dave Nichols officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
The family will be at their respective homes.
