Blacksburg, SC - William Christopher "Chris" Byers, 66, of 324 Bridges Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at his residence.
Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Janet Campbell Byers and son of the late William Gene Byers and Shirley Allen Byers. He was the owner/operator of Complete Drywall and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Liam Byers (Tiffany) of Rutherfordton, NC; a daughter, Heather Earls (Will) of Blacksburg; a brother, Scott Byers (Deanna) of Blacksburg; a sister, Beverly Greene of Shelby, NC; a granddaughter, Chloe Earls.
The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 4:00PM on Monday, March 30, 2026 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Brown and Mr. Dicky Pruitt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Compassus Hospice, 212 E. Floyd Baker Boulevard,
Gaffney, SC 29340.
The family will be at the residence, 324 Bridges Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
