Christine "Chris" Mills

Cowpens, SC - Christine Mae Hussey Mills, 73, of 171 Foster Street, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Northfield, MN, she was the widow of the late Kenneth Wayne Mills, Sr. and daughter of the late La- Verne Hussey and Marlys Sweet Hussey. She retired from Shoney's Restaurant and was of the Lutheran faith. She loved her family, her fur-babies, gardening, crocheting, crossstitch, puzzles, coin collecting and reading.

Surviving is a son, Kenneth Wayne Mills, Jr. of Cowpens; two daughters, Jeri Lavender (Kenneth Mullinax) of Gaffney and Stephanie Jean Noah (Michael) of Cowpens; two brothers, Curt Hussey (Sheryl) of Minnesota and Chuck Hussey of N. Dakota; three sisters, Carol Wilson (Mark) of Arkansas, Cathy Hussey-Berdahl and Candy Hamilton (James), both of N. Dakota; six grandchildren, Tabitha Lavender (Greg), Curstie Allison (James), Billy Buff, Jr., Mercedes Celestin (Clint), David Mullinax (Martha) and Haley Ridings (Chad); nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis G. Hussey, a sister, Cynthia Skube, and a great-grandson, Gabriel Allison.

The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Greg Little and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
