David Heffner Obituary
Gaffney, SC - David Lawrence Heffner, 60, of 1022 W. Buford Street, Apt. 501, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his residence.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the husband of Donna Cartee Heffner and son of the late Charles Heffner and Dora Wyatt Gwinn. He formerly worked for R.R. Donnelly, retired from BMW, a U.S. Army veteran and member of Pentecostals of Spartanburg. He loved his family, traveling, watching Star Trek, movies and video games.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Chris Heffner (fiancé Alex Fowler) of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Heffner (fiancé Donte Frison) of Lincolnton, NC; a half-brother, Charles Heffner of Old Fort, NC; a sister, Sheila Howell of Asheville, NC; two half-sisters, Dorothy Gwinn of Spartanburg and Tina Keith of Old Fort, NC; a sister-in-law, Brenda Cartee of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Ahdri Denham, A-niyah Cartee and Eli Dalvine; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kim Heffner.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 12:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Wilks officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Penecostals of Spartanburg, 740 Falling Creek Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
The family will be at their respective homes.
