Gaffney, SC - Diana Lynn Long Bedenbaugh, 68, of 161 Maggie Peeler Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Loris, SC, she was the wife of Thomas Harmon Bedenbaugh and daughter of the late James Elbert Long and Anna Louise Cox Long. She graduated from Tabor City High School, attended Western Carolina University and graduated from Limestone College. She retired from Limestone College, loved her family, especially her grandchildren, loved camping and formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Cherokee County Children's Home. She was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir.
In addition to her husband, also surviving are two sons, Jason Bedenbaugh (Teresa) of Gaffney and Dr. Chris Bedenbaugh (Kimberly Grey) of Spartanburg; two sisters, Toni Taylor (Doug) of Florence, SC and Melissa Wise (Steve) of Loris, SC; seven grandchildren, Haley Hood, T. J. Bedenbaugh, Sidney Murphy (Nick), Lucas Bedenbaugh, Madysen Bedenbaugh, Sophia Grace Bedenbaugh and Abigail Claire Bedenbaugh; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at First Baptist North Spartanburg. Memorial services will follow at 2:30 PM at the Church with Dr. Michael S. Hamlet officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Baptist North Spartanburg, 8740 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29316 or Hope Remains Ranch, 1771 John Dodd Road, Wellford, SC 29385.
The family will be at the residence, 161 Maggie Peeler Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340.
