Gaffney, SC - Gregory "Greg" Lynn Poole, 50, of 1408 Macedonia Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at his residence.
Born in Spartanburg, he was the son of Arthur Lynn Poole and Tina Felmet Poole of Gaffney and the late Barbara Evans Poole. He was a graduate of Gaffney High School and Spartanburg Technical College, was formerly employed by McElrath Trailers and Chesnee Livestock, and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He loved his family, enjoyed farming and animals, especially horses and his furbaby "Lily." He was also a rodeo clown for many years.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Edward Blake Poole of Norfolk VA and Stephen Dale Poole (Christy) of Gaffney; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Church with Reverend Fred Quidley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Mt. Olive Baptist Church, "Building Fund", 250 Mt. Olive Road, Cowpens, SC 29330.
The family will be at the home of Lynn & Tina Poole, 1582 Old Metal Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
