Chesnee, S.C. - Greneta Yount Blasky, 89, of 400 Walker Avenue, Apt. 13, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Williamsport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Greer Yount and Euneta Helen Alfing Yount. She was a retired hospital unit secretary, a member for many years of Houston Road Baptist Church in Troutman, NC and a current member of Arrowwood Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Donneta Austin Reynolds of Chesnee, SC, Greer Austin Shinn of Statesville, NC and Sharron Blasky Jarrell of Columbia, SC; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Wayne Austin and a sister, Mary Ann Austin.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bruce Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Social distancing and masks are requested.
The family will be at their respective homes.
