James Gist Obituary

Our beloved father James "Paul" Gist passed away peacefully at Spartanburg Regional on February 3, 2025 at the age of 72.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of James and Parnice Jefferies and the late James Gist.

He leaves behind his sons and daughters, Derrick Davidson (Travika) of Gaffney, Travis Davidson (Jessica) of Shelby, Tiffany Davidson-Brooks (Tyrone) and Brandy Earl of Gaffney. A stepdaughter Asha Earl of Columbia. He leaves behind five brothers Walter Littlejohn, Danny Gist, Kelvin Gist, Kenny Gist, and Lamontie Gist. His eight beloved grandchildren Orrin and Nirro Archa, Jakeria and Senteria Garrison, Darrika Davidson, Evelyn and London Earl, and Ty'Ray Smith. Along with a host of other family. In addition to his father, wife Evelyn Earl, and brothers Horace Gist, Bobbie Gist, Jeffery Jefferies, and James Jefferies preceded him in death.

A memorial will be held at a later date. Due to the increase of Covid, Flu, etc. we will not be receiving friends and family. Gilmore Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
