Gaffney, SC - Alice Jeanne Kite Sarratt, 82, of 112 Mohea Avenue, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur Kite and Alice Pressley Kite. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from A.P. McCauley, and was of the Methodist faith. She loved her family and reading.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna Poole (Jerry), Janet Kite (Mark Blanton), both of Gaffney, and Susie Canipe (Richie) of Cherryville, NC; three grandchildren, Taylor Canipe, Michaela Poole and Jennifer Outlaw (Brian); two great-grandchildren, Allison Outlaw and Cameron Outlaw; two nephews, Brian Kite and Taylor Kite (Jazmine). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Kite, and her grandmother, Mildred Pressley.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
