Jeff Holmes Obituary
Gaffney - Michael "Jeff" Holmes, 54, of 134 Gettys Farm Rd, passed away on Friday, September 19th, 2025.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Mike and Patsy Hogan Holmes and worked for J.I.T. Manufacturing. When he wasn't at work, Jeff loved being outdoors and didn't mind spending time at the mountains or the beach. His hobbies included fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, and working on cars. One of the highlights of his life was being the first head coach of the Gaffney High School Fishing Team. He always treasinured getting to spend that time with his son, Jake, and mentoring the other kids.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is survived by his son, Jake Holmes, a brother, Steve Holmes, a nephew, Tyler Holmes, and a very special friend, Shelly Renee Phillips.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, from 12:00-1:00PM at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Rev. Danny Meetze officiating. Interment will be at Frederick Memorial Gardens.
