Gaffney, SC - Julie Ruppe Owensby, 65, of 173 Euphra Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Dennis Mann and daughter of the late Detroy Ruppe and Shirley Jones Ruppe. She retired from Freightliner and was a member of the Salvation Army Church. She loved her Lord and her family.
Surviving are two sons, Adam Mann (Mariah) and Jason Wright, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Shannon Hall (Adam) of Gaffney; three sisters, Lori Wise (CSM David), Lisa Mullinax (Bruce) and Amy Brakefield (Wayne), all of Gaffney; five grandchildren, Sarah Wright, Riddick Hall, Sophia Hall, Mallori Mann and Atreyu Mann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Ruppe.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Salvation Army Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the Church with Major Lisa Davis and CSM David Wise officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Salvation Army Church, 601 Colonial Avenue, Gaffney, SC 29340.
The family will be at 205 Rodgers Street, Gaffney.
