Kristen Cobb Obituary
Gaffney, SC - Kristen Ravan Cobb, 50, of 168 Hillcrest Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Greer, she was the wife of Michael Allen Cobb Jr. and the daughter of Michael Ray Ravan and Ann Workman Ravan of Inman. She was a graduate of Chapman High School, Lander University and Southern Wesleyan University. She was an avid Atlanta Falcons and South Carolina Gamecocks fan, enjoyed shopping, reading and had a great love for her family, especially her grandbaby. She first taught and coached at Blue Ridge Middle School, previously taught at Gaffney Middle School and Corinth Elementary School and was a Reading Coach at Blacksburg Elementary School. Mrs. Cobb was a member of Grace Baptist Church and attending First Baptist Church Gaffney.
In addition to her husband, also surviving are three sons, Logan Cobb (fiancé, Austine Lancaster) of Gaffney, Brady Cobb (girlfriend, Mazey Owens) and Rylan Cobb, both of the home; a brother, Travis Ravan of Powdersville; a granddaughter, Amara Cobb; maternal grandmother, Mary Workman of Inman; a niece, Reed Ravan and a nephew, Brock Ravan, who affectionally called her "KK"; and a sister-in-law, Beth Cobb Martin (Jimmy) of Gaffney. Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Thomas Eugene Workman; and a paternal grandparents, James and Hazel Ravan.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 1:45PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at First Baptist Church Gaffney. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the church with Dr. Tommy Huddleston, Reverend Kevin Hampton and Reverend Blake Hooks officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Staff and Teachers of Blacksburg Elementary School and any of her former students.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Carpenters for Christ, 115 South Lake Emory Drive, Inman, SC, 29349.
The family will be at the residence.
