Gaffney, SC – L. C. Sarratt, 88, of 897 Ellis Ferry Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband for 57 years of the late Annie Huskey Sarratt and son of the late Quention Sarratt and Lois Phillips Sarratt. He was a life-long resident of the Grassy Pond Community and a selfemployed farmer. L. C. loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and had many old friends who visited him daily. He was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Libby Sarratt Parker (Ray) and Caroline Sarratt Phillips (Jon), both of Gaffney; two sisters, Willie Sarratt Hedgpath of Chester and Rebecca Sarratt Lusk of Columbia; a sister-in-law, Eddie Dee Skinner of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Caleb Sarratt Parker, Kayla Parker Brown (Cody) and Sadie Tyler Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Melton Sarratt.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Martin Hogg and Reverend Mark Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Grassy Pond Baptist Church, "Youth Fund", 254 Grassy Pond Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
The family will be at the residence, 897 Ellis Ferry Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
