Larry Campbell Obituary

Larry S. Campbell, 83, of Spartanburg County, went home to be with the Lord. Larry was a respected community servant and beloved family man whose life reflected faith, service, and dedication to those he loved.

Born on November 18, 1942, Larry lived a life grounded in his strong Christian faith. A committed member of Inman Mills Baptist Church, he believed firmly in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and reflected his faith through humility, strength, and compassion for others.

Larry faithfully served his community as a Volunteer Firefighter, answering calls at all hours with courage and selflessness. His willingness to help others was a true expression of his Christian character. He was also a proud member of the Jaycees, where he built lasting friendships and contributed to his community through service and fellowship.

Family was the heart of Larry's life. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcelle Campbell; his son, Kenneth Campbell; and his son-in-law Rick McCraw.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Dellinger Campbell; his daughter, Tammy Campbell McCraw, and five cherished grandchildren: Hannah McCraw, Victoria McCraw Ledford (Tommy), Chandler McCraw (Annalynn Faile), Matthew Campbell, and Nicholas Campbell. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow.

Larry also enjoyed spending time at the gun range practicing shooting, a hobby that brought him relaxation and camaraderie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the chapel of Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs, with Rev. Jerry White officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services with interment immediately following the funeral services at Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens.

Though his earthly journey has ended, his family finds comfort in God's promise of eternal life. We rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of his Savior, having heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant."

So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I enjoyed time riding the back of the fire trucks on those cold rainy nights to help people in need in our community. He had a smile and witness that came out sometimes even though he was a little reserved. After leaving the fire department I would run into him from time to time. Always had a smile and a friendly handshake. The Boiling Springs community has lost a good man. May he rest in peace and may you as family cherish each and every special memory he left you with.
