Charles Campbell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home - Clinton on Mar. 14, 2026.
Charles William Campbell, Sr., 85, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 28, 1941, in Clinton, MO, the son of William Henry Campbell and Blanche Fanny (Atterbery) Campbell.

On July 13, 1963, Charles was united in marriage to Carolyn Connilas Hill in Clinton, MO. They shared 58 years of marriage before her passing on October 7, 2021.

Charles was employed with the General Motors Leeds Plant in Kansas City for 25 years before transferring to the General Motors Parts Warehouse in Reno, Nevada, where he continued his career for another 15 years. A man of deep faith, Charles served faithfully as a deacon for many years, including at Life Ministries in Clinton. He and Carolyn were also longtime members of Assembly of God Church in Reno, NV.

Charles had a true heart for outreach ministry, especially for the homeless community in Reno. He loved to share the story of Jesus with anyone he met and genuinely loved people from all walks of life. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family. He also enjoyed a good game of pool, playing cards, and participating in Bible study classes, where he continued to grow in and share his faith.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Campbell, Jr. (Patti) of Kansas City, MO, and Wesley Campbell (Tonya) of Clinton, MO; one daughter, Loretta Velazquez (Anthony) of Clinton, MO; nine grandchildren, Calvin, J.J., Janna, Caleb, Ryan, Jill, Courtney, Aaron, and Ezekiel; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Carolyn, Charles was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Donna Millam and Elizabeth Dunning.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO. Pastor Anthony Velazquez will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions to Life Ministries, which may be left in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
