Boiling Springs, SC - Lisa Hughey Rollins, 75, of Boiling Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at her residence after a brief illness.
Born in Gaffney, she was the loving wife of Doyle Vance Rollins for 47 years and daughter of the late Harold Thomas Hughey and Virginia McSwain Hughey. She graduated from Gaffney Senior High School, the University of South Carolina Spartanburg and Gardner Webb University with a BS degree in nursing. She retired after 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a RN at Dialysis Clinics, Inc., Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Mary Black Memorial Hospital and Upstate Community Hospice Home. Lisa was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church and also played organ, piano and sang in the choir at numerous churches. She loved the Lord, her family, especially her grandchildren, flowers, gardening, and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband, also surviving are two daughters, Julie Quaranta (Frank) and Jenny Rollins, both of Boiling Springs, SC; a brother, Roger Hughey (Martha) of Gaffney; two sisters-in-law, Gwen Hughey of Taylors and Janice Hughey of Warner Robbins, GA; four grandchildren, Peyton Mennetti (Jordan Florez), Caden Quaranta, Sydney Lemoyne and Kenley Craig; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Ronald "Ron" Hughey and Charles "Chuck" Hughey.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice, especially Jessica, Larissa and Christine.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Beaumont Baptist Church. Memorial services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the Church with Reverend John Lee officiating.
