On Friday, January 13, 2023, Lottie Foster Mayberry, beloved and adored mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away at the age of 93, in her home in Gaffney, SC.
Lottie was born on September 19, 1929 in Gaffney, SC to Roger and Vera Rice Williams. She was the widow of T.C. Mayberry. Lottie had three children; Glenn W. Foster, the late Audrey Carol "Cookie" Foster and her beloved stepson Thomas "Buddy" Mayberry.
Lottie was a faithful member of the Concord Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC. In her later years, as her health started to take a turn, she was cared for at home by hergrandson, Larry Michael Foster and his family.
Lottie was preceded in death by her husband, T.C. Mayberry; her parents, Roger and Vera Williams; ,her daughter, Audrey Carol Foster; sisters, Blanche Williams and Frances Littlejohn; nephews Roger Wayne Williams and Glenn Littlejohn Jr.
She leaves to cherish loving memories: her sons, Glenn W. Foster (Alicia) of Crofton, MD and Thomas "Buddy" Mayberry of Gaffney, SC; her niece Sheran Littlejohn (Charles) of Lanham, MD; brother inlaw Robert Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC and sister in-law, Annie Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC.; grandsons, Larry M. Foster of Gaffney, SC; Cosby L. Foster (Patrina) of Blacksburg, SC,and Edward Dunn-El (Dorene), of Greensboro, NC. Her granddaughters, Chiarra M. Foster of Crofton, MD and Glenda A. Trotter (Derrick) of Baltimore, MD. Her great-nephews Charles "Chuck" Littlejohn, and Kevin Littlejohn of Lanham, MD; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 28, 11:00 a.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Michael A. Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park.
