Gaffney, SC - Mary Jones Wright, 88, of 592 Green Acres Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her residence.
Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of the late Charles Larry Wright and the daughter of the late Maxwell Jones and Daisy Allison Jones. She was a Gaffney High School graduate, enjoyed flowers, gardening and canning vegetables. She had a great love for her Lord and her family. Mrs. Wright was formerly employed with Belk and Gafton Sportswear and a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Larry Craig Wright (Michele) of Gaffney; two daughters, Shelia Gayle Wright and Angela Renee Wright, both of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Kayce Parker (David), Tressa Cumberlander (Henry), Taylor Wright and Daniel Wright (Maeghan); and four great-grandchildren, Taleah, Haze, Lyla and Eli. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric Wayne Wright.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at East Gaffney Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the church with Reverend Josh Davison officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
