I was fortunate to be able to know Mike and have him as a friend in a place where there are few friends. He was above average in intelligence and was someone that I could rely on for sound judgement and was a voice of calm reason when our surroundings where not so calm or friendly. I am forever indebted to him for his reliability and defending me when I needed it. Mike was solid and deserves to be remembered for compassion and friendship. I am so sorry that Mike no longer walks among us. He is missed and will never be forgotten.
