Gaffney, SC - Robert "Bob" Lewis Jordan, 83, of 204 Buck Shoals Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at his residence.
Born in Covington, GA, he was the loving and devoted husband of the late Patricia "Pat" Ann Davis Jordan for 55 ½ years and son of the late James Jordan and Mary Baxter Jordan. He retired from Hoechst Celanese after 20 years of service, was a U. S. Navy Vietnam veteran, and a member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church. He loved his family, his fur-baby "Precious," fishing, gardening and working in his yard. Bob was a Mason and Shriner, and a volunteer fireman with the Cherokee Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving is a son, Robert Tracy Jordan of the home; two nieces, Tammy Short (Jr.) of Virginia and Deborah Greeson Martin of Georgia. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Burch.
Graveside memorial services, with military and masonic rites, will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 in the Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Bob Finley and Reverend Mike Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to: Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, 501 Buck Shoals Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
