Thomasville – Sarah Stukes, age 72, of 17 Hunter St. Thomasville, NC, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Pelican Health Thomasville, NC. She was born on January 31, 1948 at Divine Savers in York, SC., to the late Jack Nichols and the late lovely Sallie Nichols. Sarah was educated in the Hickory Grove School System. In the early 90's, Sarah moved to Thomasville, North Carolina. On Tuesday, January 19, 2021 Sarah Stukes came to a quiet close at Pelican Nursing Home in Thomasville, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willie Stukes, a sister, Juanita Howell, three brothers, Willis Nichols, William Nichols, Jack Nichols, a daughter-in-law, Willie Mae Good, two brothersin law, David Howell and Steve Coard.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, a daughter, Sally Crawford (Curtis) of Jonesville, SC., three sons, Otha Nichols of Charlotte, NC., Paul Good of Gaffney, SC., Julius Good of Union, SC., four sisters, Mary Nichols of Blacksburg, SC., Liza Howell of Hickory Grove, SC., Vergie Mae Coard of Thomasville, NC., Kimberly Nichols of Blacksburg, SC., three brothers, Jessie Nichols of York, SC., Donnie Nichols of Gaffney, SC., David Nichols of Blacksburg, SC. Two special grandkids that was raised in the home, Kesha Good and Ashia Good, one sister-in-law, Ida Mae Nichols of Gastonia, NC., one God child, Cha'Nkia Little. A host of nieces, nephew's other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at John's Chapel FBH Church Cemetery, 2073 Chestnut Street, Hickory Grove, SC, 29717. Pastor E.D. Lawson officiating.
