Gaffney, SC - Christopher Scott Jones, 52, of 137 Scruggs Trail, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Gaffney, he was the son of Walter Brownlow Jones, Jr. of the home and the late Beatrice Wilson Jones. He formerly worked for Cherokee Finishing and Robert Allen and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing and playing softball.
Surviving in addition to his father are two sons, Cody Jones (Kaitlan) and Dezmond Scruggs, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Haley Jones (Drew) of Gaffney; a sister, Lori Smith (Paul) of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Hunter, River, Layken, two bonus grandchildren, Bentley and Chris, and one expected granddaughter, Violet; two nephews, Mason Smith and Brayden Smith.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Crestview Baptist Church. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM at the Church with Reverend Rick Taylor and Mr. Henry Cobb officiating. Interment will be in the Crestview Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence, 137 Scruggs Trail, Gaffney.
