Forest City, NC - Stanley "Stan" Wray Melton, 76, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Born in Patuxent, Maryland, he was the son of the late Oliver Stephen Melton Sr. and Ethel Annette Bolin Melton. He enjoyed life, was an avid reader and loved to travel. Mr. Melton was self-employed and of the Church of Christ faith.
Surviving are three brothers, O.S. Melton Jr. (Rita) of FL, Sid Melton (Barbara) of SC and Brian Melton (Julie) of ID; two sisters, Sandi Mathis (Mike) and Linda Canaday (Kelvin), both of SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
No services are scheduled at this time.
The family will be at their respective homes.
