Easley, S.C. - Terry DeWitt Sexton, 69, of 112 Cottage Gate Lane, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in York, he was the husband of the late Cathy J. Fields Sexton and son of the late George Franklin Sexton and Aline Ramsey Sexton. He was a graduate of York High School, was the retired agency manager of Farm Bureau Insurance in Gaffney and Pickens, and attended Five Point Church in Easley. He loved his family, riding horses, gardening, cutting grass and going to the Lake.
Surviving are two daughters, Lauren Sexton Phillips (Derrick) of Easley and Dr. Megan Sexton Molo (Joey) of Charlotte; a sister, Valeria Phillips of Simpsonville; six grandchildren, Ellie Phillips, Presley Phillips, Maggie Phillips, Emersyn Molo, Thea Molo and Jaeden Molo; a special niece, Patti Meyer of York; numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Sexton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Clyde Ramsey, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: S. C. Baptist Convention, "Disaster Relief Fund", P.O. Box 212999, Columbia, SC 29221-2999.
The family will be at their respective homes.
