Thomas Alexander Starnes, 73, of 131 Memory Lane, passed away unexpectedly June 1, 2025, at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, SC. He was married to Diane Starnes and son of the late Baxter and Edna Starnes.
In addition to his loving wife, left to cherish his memory is a son Justin Starnes (Kacy), a daughter in law, Kim Starnes, granddaughters Leanne Benton (Billy), Samantha Starnes, Abigail Starnes and Brynlee Starnes. Great grandchildren Rhett Benton and Addison Hill and a brother Zeb Starnes (Virginia). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Todd Starnes, a brother Bobby Starnes and sisters Mildred Mc- Daniel, Lillian Manning, Brenda Cole, Martha Clark and Minnie Pettit.
He retired from Duke Energy, was a member of Broad River Baptist Church, where he served in a number of positions and was a Board Member of the CKC Volunteer Fire Department.
A Receiving of Family and Friends will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 2-4 pm at Broad River Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life Service to follow. Revs. Norman Philbeck and Danny Meetze are officiating.
Pallbearers serving are Jeff Wright, Keith Manning, Jimmy Hambright, Jaimie Ham, Zeb Starnes and Marty Trull. with the CKC VFD serving as honorary pallbearers.
