Gaffney, SC - Vickie Youngblood Cornmesser, 74, of 216 Maple Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at her residence.
Born in York, she was the wife of David Monroe Cornmesser and daughter of the late Claude Youngblood and Lucille Merck Youngblood. She was formerly employed by Duke Power, retired from Allied Universal, and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation. She loved her family, gardening, crafting and reading.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Jimmy Chapman, III (Cameron Andrews) of Long Beach, CA and Joshua Cornmesser (Victoria) of Greer; a daughter, Miranda Davidson of Gaffney; one brother; three sisters; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive from 12:00PM until 1:00PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jenny Gettys officiating. Interment will be private for the family in Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105- 1905.
The family will be at their respective homes.
