Deacon William Thomas Kirby, Sr., age 67, was born on March 1, 1958, to the late James Kirby and Sadie Jefferies Kirby. On October 3, 2025, he peacefully went home to be with the Lord.

His role as a deacon was one he cherished, using his voice, wisdom, and compassion to guide and uplift others. William was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, INC. We met Kirby over 40 years ago at SCSU and became friends. He was always a gentleman around us. We had several conversations in September 2025. It truly saddened us to get this news. He will be missed but never forgotten. Our hearts and prayers are with the family.
