Arlene Poole Obituary

POOLE - ARLENE BROWN

Arlene Brown Poole, 72 of Chiefland, passed away June 10, 2011 at Haven Hospice of the Tri-Counties in Chiefland. Born in Levy County, FL to McKinley William and Alma Sophia Brown, she has been a lifetime resident of this area. She was a Home Care caregiver for 12 years and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Arlene enjoyed quilting, traveling, volunteering, and square dancing. She was a member of the local chapter AARP and Senior Center, serving as president two times, and a member of the Log Cabin Quilters. She loved her family very much.

She is survived by her Fiancée Arthur Maruna of Chiefland, daughter "B.J." (TJ) Sullivan of Cross City, sons Eddie Dean (Cindy) Poole of Jackson, GA, Erwin Weeks (Jennifer) Poole of Chiefland, sisters Alice Mae Haire, Linda Sheffield, Sharon Rogers, Maudine (Robert) Barnhill, all from Chiefland, brothers Claude Brown of Nappanee, IN and Cecil Brown of High Springs, and her 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Poole, brothers Glen and Hoyt Brown, her parents, and grandson, James Earl Cooper III " Hambone".

Visitation will be Monday, June 13, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 14th, at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery in Trenton.
