HENRIETTA SLAPPY Obituary
SLAPPY, HENRIETTA, 66
Henrietta Slappy, age 66, daughter of the late Louise Larry and Henry L. Slappy peacefully left us on August 27, 2014 at Shands Hospital.
Henrietta attended Lincoln High School and Santa Fe Community College where she received her license in Cosmetology. She was employed with North Florida Regional Medical Center and was a Member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Slappy was also preceded in death by her step-mother - Janie M. Slappy and 3 brothers - Calvin E. Rhodes, Henry I. Slappy, Jr., Robert L. Slappy and Steven Harvey.
She leaves to mourn, but cherish, her memory: daughter - Tracy Hooker (& Bob Biancamano) of Panama City, FL; Sisters - Deloris 'Dee' Slappy Williams, and Beverly J. Slappy both of Gainesville, FL, Dr. Ruby L. Ford of Cartersville, GA, Angela (& Lee) Edwards of Orlando, FL; brothers - Freddie (& Vurlie) Dexter of Tuscaloosa, AL, Levis Dexter and Ulysses (& Deloris) Dexter of Jacksonville, FL and Albert Slappy, and Joseph Slappy both of Gainesville, FL; 1 aunt; numerous nieces & nephews; cousins; & friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (Gainesville, FL) where Rev. Renette Slater is Pastor, with Rev. Milford L. Griner delivering the Eulogy. There will be No Viewing of Ms. Slappy. The Family is asked to meet at the Church at 2:45PM.
Local Expressions may be directed to DUNCAN BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME, 428 NW 8th Street, Gainesville.

Well today is you anniversary and this have been so hard...don't seem like a year...their are days when I still want to call you and then I remember that you are gone i love you sister and i miss the times we spent together just talking and going shopping and Ceder keys the lake days when we would go to the lake just to eat...our fish sandwiches....so with this as I WRITE i have tears flowing but I Love you and miss you....my love and my friend...so until i see you again kiss my momma for me and calvin ,g-mom, and steve....until then RIP SISTER I LOVE YOU....sister...

Peace at last thank my God I'm at peace at last. No one know the hour or the day we may leave, but the sure thing is she was loved and had touch many. She will be missed and I will continue to keep the family in pray thru the days ahead and that healing with take place to the heart.
